“Good Guys”

The following was a headline from today:
As Riots Spread, Marine Battalion Sent to LA

This reminded me of my first work of fiction, “The Keneally Chronicles,” in which P.J. Keneally, a son of retired Supreme Court Justice, Anthony Keneally was sent to L.A. as part of a small surreptitious group of marine reservists back in 2020. This group of four reservists had the assignment of infiltrating the mob of rioters in Los Angeles in order to obtain information on the leaders of the rioters with the hope that it would eventually lead to their prosecution after calm had been restored to L.A.
In order to not ruin it for anyone, I will not reveal the outcome of P.J. Keneally’s four day undercover reconnaissance mission, but will introduce the term, “the Portland Push,” just to whet everyone’s appetite.
I think that it is pretty reasonable to assume that there are disguised “good guys” in the crowd of L.A. rioters. Just like in the Keneally Chronicles, this group will be there probably just to gather information and not to prevent the destruction of property. If there is such a “good guy” group, however, I doubt that they marines.

BTW: The Keneally Chronicles is available on Amazon.
